Happy Sunday beautiful people! Today I’m going to share my every day makeup essentials.
Some of you know that I recently started at a new job. This job is way different from all my other jobs. I’ve been in the retail world for over five years with unstable hours and long shifts. Well, my new job is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. I was always that person who claimed “I’ll never work a Monday-Friday. Those jobs are boring and predictable.” Well, I’m here to bite my tongue because I love these new hours and predictability. I know the days I have off so I can actually make plans. I’m off before the sun goes down so I can actually spend time doing the things that I love after work. I absolutely love my new job.
However, I found myself at a loss of what looks to put together. It is in fact an office job which means business attire and neutral makeup. Wait, did she just say ‘NEUTRAL MAKEUP’? I did you guys. That doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your neutral look. I live fifty minutes from work in Montana where the roads are most always icy in the mornings. This means I have to cut my ‘getting ready’ time in half.
That being said, I wanted to share my new everyday makeup products with you. These are my absolute favorite products right now that make getting ready a breeze!
My Every Day Makeup Essentials
1.) Clinique Universal Super Primer– I normally use Lancome’s La Base Pro primer but for some reason I’m loving the texture of this primer. I think it’s better when you are wearing a more natural look. This primer keeps my foundation looking flawless all day long.
2.) Foundation- FitMe! Foundation by Maybelline New York. You guys know that this is my newest foundation obsession. It stays on all day with very few touch ups needed. It’s great for combination oily-oily skin. The finish is beautiful. I highly recommend it!
3.) Concealer- FitMe Concealer by Maybelline New York. I really love the coverage this concealer offers. It’s a thicker consistency without looking heavy or creasing those baby crow feet.
4.) Lancome Blush Subtil 3-Pan Palette in Nectar Lace- Okay so obviously I don’t have enough time to sculpt and contour my face like a mad woman. I love having this palette for a quick dusting of highlight, blush, and a quick little contour under my check bones. This palette makes sculpting easy! Lancome has a variety of beautiful shimmery colors. Check them out!
5.) Loreal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator N202 Rose- Okay so I alternate between this and the Lancome palette. Sometimes I used them together. This gives your skin a beautiful glow. Your skin looks fresh all day long for those crazy tense office meetings.
6.) Clinique Almost Powder in Fair- Okay, this powder is a fantastic way to finish off your look. It’s a light-weight sheer coverage powder to set your foundation. It’s also fantastic for touch ups! Oh Clinique, you never seem to fail me.
Okay on to the eyes! This is where it gets super simple.
1.) Lancome Single Eyeshadow– These shadows have a lot of pigment but are very easy to blend. There’s an array of shimmery shadows as well as matte. I love shimmer, but on the days I’m in the office, I opt for a more matte finish.
2.) Lancome Grandiose Liquid Liner- Okay, no one is going to see me out in daylight without a winged liquid liner. It’s my thing. This liner offers a fantastic precision for the sharpest of wings. Not to mention the applicator wand bends to the angle that best fits your application skills. Super easy to use!
3.) Wet n’ Wild Lash Fiber Mascara– I know what you’re thinking. ‘What? She’s using something other than Lancome’s Hypnose Mascara?!’ Yep. I’ve made the switch for my everyday look. Let me tell you why. As much as I love Hypnose (which I really truly LOVE it) I decided to try this mascara for something different. You know, to branch out. I fell in love! This mascara is under $6 at Walgreens. I don’t usually like Fiber lash mascaras but wow! This mascara gives so much drama and thick lashes. I love a good dramatic lash to go with a neutral look. It makes your eyes pop! This is a two-step mascara. You apply a light coat of mascara and then your fibers and then finish it with your mascara. These fibers come right off with hot water.
4.) Wet n’ Wild Ultimate Brow Universal Stencil Kit– So I’m not a huge fan of brow stencils. I think it looks more natural to do your brows freely. However, this kit offers an assortment of gels, powders, and highlights. I pop just a little of this on my brows.
5.) Lancome Sourcils Styler Brow Gel in 00 Transparent- This is my favorite new product! It’s so easy to use and it’s a great way to ensure your brows stay in place all day. They offer three brow colors but I prefer the transparent gel just to finish my brows.
Last but not least. Fragrance!
La Vie Est Belle– People don’t think of fragrance when mentioning their makeup routines. But it’s such an important part to beauty. Some people will remember you by your scent believe it or not. This is my absolute favorite fragrance. It’s both sweet and spicy. La Vie Est Belle aroma contains caramel and vanilla notes and is absolutely delicious. Working in an office means I can’t bathe in my perfume so I just do one little squirt under my chin. Love it!
So yes, being a makeup junkie it still takes me eleven steps to complete my look. But they are all super easy steps and makes getting ready achievable!
What is your everyday makeup routine on those dreaded work days?
