So, here’s my full and honest disclosure. I am a new blogger (by six months) and I have not yet succeeded in my blogging business. That’s right, I have this fancy website, I post on every social media platform and then some, yet, I’m not making money. Okay, so I’ve made fifty cents. So, you might be thinking, ‘How does she think she can tell me what it takes to be a blogger?’ You’re right, I’m not super experienced, I’m not making money, and I still have A TON to learn. However, I have learned SO much about blogging and what it takes to be successful. It is still a work in process but I know that once I implement everything I’ve been learning, I will find success. Hard Working Attitude

You cannot go into blogging thinking it’s going to be super easy and you will barely lift a finger. Sure, there are some bloggers that become successful almost instantly from viral posts. This is definitely not always the case. In fact, it’s very rare. It takes patience and a ton of hard work. You guys, this takes hours upon hours a week. Let me put it this way, I have a full-time job and I come home from work and work on my blog until bedtime and I am still not making money. Now, some of you won’t have to work as many hours as me. I came into this blogging thing blind and knew nothing about blogging. So, it’s taking a little longer than most. You can get some major motivation from the books below.

This is where I tend to struggle the most. I find myself thinking, ‘Is this really worth it? I work so much and am not yet reaping the benefits. Will I ever? I’m human. These thoughts will come into anyone’s mind. It is important to hold onto optimism. When you are feeling down and unsuccessful, just remember, there are thousands and thousands of successful bloggers out there. YOU CAN DO THIS. Don’t give up. Stay positive.

Willingness To Learn

You will not be successful if you already think you know everything there is to know about blogging. This is a fact. There is so much to learn and you will never stop learning. Be willing to learn and take anyone and everyone’s advice. Trust me, this will pay off. Below are a couple of e-books on how to start a blog.

Hi Shashi! I’m so glad you found this blog post helpful. It is definitely challenging but nothing good is ever easy right? Good luck to you as well! <3

Wonderful article. Having blogged for 9 months, my advice to any blogger would be do it first and foremost for your personal enjoyment. If you put the prospect of monetary reward as your central focus, you will give up very early in the game.

Hi Pierre! That is so true. You definitely have to have a passion for it or you will lose momentum fast! Thanks for the tip and thank you for reading. 🙂
